Here's how we built the pictured cheeseboard, so follow along and have some fun.
1 - CHEESE: Dutch Edam, Aged Cheddar, Brie
2 - MEAT: Cabanossi, Prosciutto
3 - PRODUCE: Blueberries, Kiwi, Pear, Pomegranate, Grapes
4 - CRUNCH: Toasted Baguette, Almonds, Parmesan Breadsticks
5 - DIP: Chilli & Lime Dressing, Garlic & Rosemary Oil, Manuka Balsamic Dressing
6 - GARNISH: Honey, Mint, Edible Flowers
So lay down your cheese first. Then your meats. These are the things that people reach for the most. So having a even spread of these helps set the layout of your board.
Next up is your fresh produce, your fruits and vegetables. These offer different textures and help balance the creaminess and richness of your cheese.
Next up is crunch. These are your crackers, breads and nuts.
Then we've got your dips that compliment your cheese, and using our three Kai Ora Caramelised Manuka Sauces and Oils, makes this step a breeze.
And finally your garnish, the final layer to bring it all together. We love using edible flowers like nasturtium and flowering herbs like rosemary and oregano. Whatever you have on hand can add a special finishing element to your board. And of course you can never go wrong with a drizzle of our Mānuka honey. Bringing a touch of sweetness to your board.
If you stick to these six elements and change to suit your tastes, the seasons and the size of your group you'll always have a fabulous cheeseboard that's delicious and simple to create. Most importantly just have fun!
