Our Certifications & Provenance
Every jar of Kai Ora carries four generations of mātauranga from Te Hiku o Te Ika — the wild north of Aotearoa. Behind that whakapapa sits proof: independent testing, government-recognised standards, and provenance you can trace from hive to home. This is what “certified” means to our whānau — not a word on a label, but a promise we can stand behind.

- New Zealand Made — The iconic Kiwi trademark: your assurance this honey is grown and made here in Aotearoa. Licence 803853.
- Independently batch tested & traceable — Every batch is laboratory tested and traceable back to the landscape it came from.
- MPI Registered Exporter — Kai Ora meets the Ministry for Primary Industries’ standards for honey leaving Aotearoa’s shores.
- MPI-approved Risk Management Programme — Every jar is produced under a Risk Management Programme approved by the Ministry for Primary Industries and independently verified by AssureQuality — New Zealand’s food-safety standard.
