Our Honey Chocolate Sauce is super simple, quick and versatile. Whether you want to start your day off with waffles and our chocolate honey sauce, or have it as dessert over ice cream.
Ingredients
2 Tablespoons of your favourite Kai Ora Honey
100g Dark Chocolate
15g butter
1.5 Tablespoons water (if needed to get right consistency)
Method
Place all ingredients except the water in a glass or stainless steel bowl, and place over a pot of simmering water, ensuring that the bowl doesn't touch the water. Gently heat and stir gently until the chocolate has melted and everything has combined. If you need a runnier consistency add a splash of water and stir to combine.
Uses:
Try this on ice cream for a decadent dessert, or do as we've done and use as a breakfast treat with waffles and fresh fruit. We also love keeping this in the fridge and spreading on some toasted sourdough for a delicious chocolatey snack, and you can even top with sliced banana or strawberries.
